The Brisbane Baylands project proposes to remediate a 680-acre former railyard and landfill and put 12,000 to 15,000 additional jobs and 4,500 new units of housing within walking distance of a major inter-modal transit hub.

 


Located next to the region's largest international airport, midway between its premier research universities and next to one of the largest concentrations of biotech businesses in the world, the Baylands is a model of how business and environmental groups can work together to create a nexus between jobs, transit and housing.
